01 / OVERVIEW

Overview

The DG30 Asylum or Institutional Lock meets ANSI/BHMA A156.13 requirements and Grade 1 performance for heavy-duty use. Its cycle performance exceeds the Grade 1 requirement for doors subject to frequent operation.

The lock case and internal components are made of stainless steel, providing resistance to corrosion and wear. The heavy-duty construction is suited to demanding institutional environments where reliable locking performance is required.

Both levers are always inoperative, so neither lever can retract the latchbolt. The DG30 also features cylinders on both sides, allowing the lock to be operated by key from either side of the door.

The DG Series uses a common multifunction mortise lock body that supports 10 functions and fits multiple door thicknesses and both wood and metal doors.

UL listed for up to 3-hour fire-rated openings, the DG30 is suitable for secure institutional facilities, controlled-access areas, detention facilities, and other applications requiring restricted door operation.
