The C2029A Double Cylinder Classroom Lock is part of the HARDWOOD C20 Series of compact auxiliary mortise locks. It features key cylinders on both sides, allowing the deadbolt to be operated with a key from either side of the door. An additional interior thumb turn allows the deadbolt to be retracted from inside but cannot extend it.

This operating arrangement provides flexible key operation while limiting the function of the interior thumb turn. With its compact lock case and durable stainless steel construction, the C2029A is suitable for classroom and other institutional applications requiring controlled locking.

Overview

The C20 Series features a compact mortise lock case with a deadbolt mechanism, providing reliable locking in a space-saving design. The C2029A combines double cylinder operation with a restricted-function interior thumb turn.

Both key cylinders can operate the deadbolt, allowing it to be extended or retracted by key from either side. The interior thumb turn provides an additional means of retracting the deadbolt but cannot project it. This distinguishes the C2029A from conventional double cylinder deadlocks with a standard interior thumb turn.

Designed for applications requiring controlled locking and flexible key operation, the C2029A provides a compact auxiliary locking solution for classroom and institutional doors. The series is designed in accordance with ANSI/BHMA A156.36 requirements for auxiliary locks.
